Our first ever 1000 Happy Daisy giveaway to bring 1000 #reasonstosmile to the people of Klang Valley was truly a heartwarming experience.
A team of us headed over to KL Sentral on 6 August at 7 am to catch the Monday morning crowd.We had zero expectations, but with 100% determination to spread some happy vibes to counter Monday blues. We were only hoping the rush-hour folks would spare a few seconds and slow down to accept a fresh flower.
What we encountered blew us away.
We spread out and started approaching people. Many of them stopped, clearly delighted upon the sight of the flowers and started chatting with us as we handed them a Happy Daisy. We had some who approached us and asked if they could have one. Some asked if they could have a few so they could give them to their friends. Some took the time to tell us they thought what we were doing was really nice. Some told us they would help spread the word. Some made a detour off their usual route to try to catch us. Some sent their love through social media. A handful shied away and declined, but that made the experience all the more heartfelt.
So much happiness, so little time. Our giveaway concluded within one and a half hours – a much shorter period than we had expected. We met folks from all walks of life, and they all had one thing in common that meant the world to us – they smiled.
