It's that time of year when you might see people dressed in lovely pink dresses and shirts, or a
very familiar pink ribbon worn, displayed, and supported by many organizations and individuals.
In case you're wondering what that means, here's everything you need to know about Pink October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month).
Unfortunately, breast cancer is still one of the most common cancers, and according to a study conducted by Cancer Research Malaysia, one out of every four Malaysians is diagnosed with cancer, which is a very concerning figure to begin with.
As a result, while the medical industry has been working hard to improve treatments and, hopefully, find a cure, Breast Cancer Awareness Month was created in the hopes of educating women and people all over the world about the disease and the steps that must be taken as a preventive measure.
As a women-led company that values community building and engagement, Happy Bunch stands by breast cancer patients and survivors in the hopes of providing emotional support and raising awareness during Pink October.
Thanks to our friends at MAKNA Malaysia, with whom we previously collaborated, here's a brief overview of breast cancer and how you can help spread more awareness about the Pink October movement.
